Rodrigues comes to the cage accompanied by Disturbed - Liberate. Kerrison has chosen "The Unforgiven III"-Metallica as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kerrison misses with a wild combination.
Rodrigues looks for a takedown but Kerrison sprawls well.
Rodrigues shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Kerrison decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Rodrigues wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rodrigues regains full guard. Nicely done.
Kerrison wants to get up but he can't break Rodrigues's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Rodrigues has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Kerrison off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Kerrison looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Rodrigues!
Rodrigues is working to get back to half guard.
Kerrison postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Rodrigues looks a forlorn figure.
Kerrison tries to control but Rodrigues wriggling away.

Kerrison prevents Rodrigues from improving his position.

Rodrigues looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Kerrison is defending well. Rodrigues quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Kerrison has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Rodrigues celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
