Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Franco Lumens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Von Koukan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lumens takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Lumens falls off balance throwing a combination
and Koukan counters with a three punch combo that has Lumens backing up. Lumens nods at Koukan to acknowledge the strikes.
Lumens looks to land a combination but Koukan avoids it well.
Lumens scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

It looks like Von Koukan has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Koukan manages to pull guard.
Koukan keeping moving, preventing Lumens from controlling successfully.
Lumens postures up in Koukan's guard and throws a big left but Koukan blocks it.

Koukan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lumens can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Lumens stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Koukan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Koukan can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lumens controls the pace.

Lumens thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Koukan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lumens manages to get himself to full guard.

Koukan is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Koukan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lumens has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Koukan has managed to get both his arms back between Lumens's legs - danger averted.

Lumens stalks Koukan and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Koukan's face. Koukan staggers backwards, shaken.

That has opened up Von Koukan's cut even more.

Lumens tries to bum rush Koukan with a series of wild strikes but Koukan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Lumens stuffs the takedown attempt from Koukan. Koukan gets slowly back to his feet.

Lumens swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Koukan shoots for a double leg takedown but Lumens sprawls well. He's pushed Koukan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lumens will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Koukan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lumens was covering up waiting for the punch and Koukan finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Von Koukan's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
