Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mason Mayhem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eiji Kisaragi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mayhem comes to the cage accompanied by Wild Thing. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Eiji Kisaragi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Mayhem counters with a single leg into guard. Kisaragi didn't expect that.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Kisaragi has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Mayhem is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Kisaragi.

Kisaragi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mayhem. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mayhem is pushing down on Kisaragi's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kisaragi is fighting to maintain full guard but Mayhem has managed to sneak the leg through.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Mayhem has control of Kisaragi's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kisaragi regains control of the situation pretty easily.
