The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuusela is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Kuusela throws a leg kick but Silva moved away.
Kuusela swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Silva.
Kuusela scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Silva has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Silva there as he acknowledges the shot.
Armo Kuusela seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva lands a leg kick that knocks Kuusela off balance momentarily.
Kuusela lands a slapping body shot.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Silva.
Good work by Kuusela as he checks the leg kick.
Silva tries to land a front kick but Kuusela steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kuusela throws a jab but it's blocked by Silva.
Kuusela avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Silva throws a front kick that sends Kuusela stumbling back into the cage.

Kuusela swats away the attempt to clinch by Silva.
Silva takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Kuusela checks a leg kick.
Kuusela missing with a left hand there. Silva was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Silva throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Kuusela's head.
A telegraphed right hand from Kuusela misses the target.
Silva takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
