The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Derringer shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Yaroslev defends it nicely.

Derringer cracks Yaroslev with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Derringer lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Derringer is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Yaroslev to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Yaroslev shrugs it off.
Derringer wants to control but Yaroslev has made it back to half guard. Nice work.
Yaroslev knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Derringer on the ground.
Derringer looks gassed!

Derringer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Yaroslev keeps working.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Yaroslev makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Yaroslev.
Derringer throws a strike but Yaroslev rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Yaroslev seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Yaroslev looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Derringer with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
