Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Giant Glory (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Super Jim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Super Jim will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Giant Glory!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Super Jim!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Glory throws an overhand right that lands on Jim's shoulder, as Jim tries to avoid the shot.
Glory fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jim rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Glory moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Jim throws a series of punches but Glory moves out of range.
Glory misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jim.
Glory fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jim manages to avoid it.

Super Jim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Glory throws a shot from downtown. Jim moves away and avoids it.
Jim looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Super Jim is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Jim jabs Glory to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Jim swings for the body but Glory moves out of range.
Glory throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Jim throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Glory tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jim swivels and escapes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nice defenses there by Jim.
Jim tries to bum rush Glory with a series of wild strikes but Glory uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Jim lands a glancing blow to the side of Glory's head.

Glory misses with a looping left.
Jim fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Glory throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Glory shoots in looking for a takedown. Jim tries to sprawl out of it but Glory keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jim manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jim avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Jim swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Glory counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Glory with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Glory knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jim on the ground.
Glory tries to free his leg and advance position but Jim is retaining full guard.

Glory postures up in Jim's guard and throws a big left but Jim blocks it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Giant Glory will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Glory looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Jim looking for submissions off his back.
Glory throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Glory seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jim does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Glory wants to work for an arm triangle but Jim is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Glory is nestled in close to Jim, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Glory wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jim keeps working.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Glory throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Jim is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Glory scores with a couple of nice shots.
Glory is trying to control the action in half guard but Jim is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Jim is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Glory pulls his head out easily.
Jim has hold of Glory's hands but Glory slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Glory wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jim keeps working.

Glory looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Jim won't allow Glory to pass to mount.

Glory takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Glory tries to pass to full mount but Jim defends it.
Glory with the ground and pound but Jim uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Glory is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jim is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jim has escaped and now he's on top!
Glory is trying to control the position but Jim postures up.

Jim thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Jim is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Glory has his foot on Jim's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jim works his way back into a safe position though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Glory wants to control but Jim passes easily into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Giant Glory dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Glory's jab looks to have found its range, popping Jim under the eye.
A combination from Jim does no damage.
Jim fails to land with a series of punches.
Glory slips a jab and a cross from Jim.
Jim lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Glory circles away quickly and effectively.
Jim throws a body punch but Glory moves out of range.
Jim swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Glory counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Glory.
Giant Glory overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Glory postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Jim had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Glory defends it easily.
Glory wants to control from the top but Jim keeps moving.
Jim takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Jim working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Glory doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Glory manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Glory postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jim looks a forlorn figure.

Jim's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Glory has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jim's face.

You get the feeling that Jim really doesn't like being in this position too much.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Glory cracks Jim with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Glory, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
