Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simon Bruce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Puma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruce comes to the cage accompanied by I want it all. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Johnny Puma!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Taro Takaoka and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bruce lands with a good body shot.
Bruce is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

It looks like Johnny Puma has been cut.
Puma ducks right into an uppercut from Bruce.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bruce fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Puma manages to avoid it.
Bruce cracks the inside of Puma's front leg.
Puma looks gassed!
Bruce smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Puma bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Bruce thows a body shot but no joy.
Bruce throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Bruce lands a big shot that drops Puma! Can he finish him?
Puma being controlled here, momentarily.
Bruce throws and elbow that misses. Puma uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bruce's guard. Nice move by Puma!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bruce tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Bruce is looking to sweep but instead, Puma has passed into half guard.
Bruce is looking to improve his position.
Bruce is concentrating on defense, preventing Puma from advancing position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bruce tries to roll over but Puma keeps him under control.
Bruce regains full guard. Nicely done.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bruce is on top in guard.
Bruce thows a big elbow that misses.

Puma avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Bruce looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bruce loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Bruce postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

That has opened up Johnny Puma's cut even more.
Bruce with a flurry of punches that miss.
Puma working a defensive guard but Bruce passes into half guard.

Bruce wants to free his trapped foot but Puma is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The cut above Johnny Puma's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Johnny Puma's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Simon Bruce was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
