The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Franklyn Lucas and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bucket shoots for a double leg takedown but Diaz sprawls well. He's pushed Bucket's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Diaz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bucket's waist but Bucket gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Diaz off to one side.
Bucket tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Diaz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Diaz lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bucket circles away quickly and effectively.
Bucket closes the distance and clinches.

Bucket is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Barny Bucket seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Derek Diaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Barny Bucket.

Diaz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bucket pinned against the cage. Bucket gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Derek Diaz will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Bucket wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Diaz's closed guard. He's half up but Diaz has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Diaz pivots and extends the arm, Bucket falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Diaz! Well done that man!
