Cross comes to the cage accompanied by The American Dream Song. Thomas has chosen Blow The Whistle By Too Short as his entrance music. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Thomas will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cross fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Thomas manages to avoid it.
Cross is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Thomas gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Cross to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Cross sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Thomas's guard.
Cross looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Thomas with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Cross wants to lay and pray for a moment but Thomas keeps working.

Thomas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cross. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Thomas can do anything to dispel that myth.
