The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ernandez scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Rebel is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Ernandez's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Ernandez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rebel keeps working.
Ernandez wants to pass to mount but Rebel is defending the position.
Ernandez is looking to take a break and control but Rebel is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Cain Ernandez just wasn't active enough.

Ernandez goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Rebel has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Ernandez but great work by Rebel.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rebel is putting a hurting on Ernandez here, landing some big shots from side control.
Rebel cracks Ernandez with a big right hand but Ernandez just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
