Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rockford Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scully Rudd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knight kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is CCR - Fortunate Son. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scully Rudd!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight swinging wildly here.
Rudd thows a body shot but no joy.
No joy there for Knight, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rudd should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
A slow jab from Rudd misses its intended target.
Rudd loads up on a big right hand but Knight slips the punch.
Knight keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Rudd.
Rudd looks to score with a jab to the body but Knight is just out of range.
Rudd moves out of range of the strikes.
Rudd lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Rudd.

Knight throws a lazy right hand but Rudd sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Knight swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Knight works over Rudd's head and body with a nice combination.
Rudd jabbing away but nothing is landing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Knight will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Knight shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Rudd eats them both and turns towards Knight to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
It looks like Scully Rudd has been cut.
Rudd looks gassed!

Knight tests Rudd's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Knight ducks under a wild hook from Rudd.
Knight drops Rudd with a huge uppercut! Rudd drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Knight is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rockford Knight!
Rockford Knight decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
