The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stanford is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Stanford closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Killer to the mat! Killer manages to get full guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Killer has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Stanford is proving hard to escape from.

Stanford has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Killer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Stanford has his foot on Killer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Killer works his way back into a safe position though.
Killer wants to stand but Stanford is controlling his posture from full guard.

Killer stands and steps away. Stanford gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Stanford changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Killer tries to avoid it but Stanford manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Killer to the ground. Killer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Killer feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Stanfords jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

and Stanford decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Killer's guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Jezuz Killer will probably get the nod.
