Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dil Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Oh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Big Oh!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oh fails in his attempt to clinch.
Head shoots and misses

and Oh counters by clinching up.
A hook to the body from Oh.
Oh works on Head's body with a couple of short punches.
Oh throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Oh lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Oh lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Head backwards.
Oh is leaning against Head and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Oh lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Head has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
A short uppercut from Oh.
Oh crunches a lovely knee into Head's ribcage.
Head looking for a takedown.
Head jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Oh walks away with a smile on his face. Head gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dil Head. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Oh fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jab, jab by Oh - just one landing.
Oh tries to clinch up but Head circles away and keeps his distance.

Head changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Oh looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Oh is not content to let Head control the position.

Head has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Left hook, right uppercut from Oh.


It looks like Dil Head has been cut.

Oh fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Head, pushing him back against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Oh throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Heads head.

Oh keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Head's efforts to push away.

Oh jumps guard.
Head wants to control from the top but Oh keeps moving.
Oh throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Head would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Oh looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Oh thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Head gets to his feet. Oh looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Head fails with the takedown

and Oh counters by clinching up.
Oh can't find room to land a body shot as Head controls the action.
Oh misses with a body punch.

Head manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Oh's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Head lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Oh!
Oh really wants to buck Head off and get back to his feet.

Oh tries to reverse the position but Head maintains control.
Oh throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
A nice elbow there by Head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Head lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Oh tries to lock up and control but Head gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Head with good strikes from the mount here!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Head lands a heavy elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Oh is in all sorts of trouble here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Big Oh will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Dil Head's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!


Head throws a combination that misses

and Oh counters with a takedown into side control.
Oh scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Head to see if he's OK.
Head avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Oh.
Head isn't going anywhere.
Oh cracks Head with a big elbow.
Head is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Oh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Head. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Oh thows a huge punch but Head dodges it nicely.
Head might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Oh not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Oh throws a strike but Head avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Oh working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Oh loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Head has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Oh can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Oh stands up over Head, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Oh is in close to Head's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Head is pulling down on Oh's head to control his posture.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Oh accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Oh makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Oh stands up over Head, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Oh looking to sit in guard and control but Head gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Dil Head just wasn't active enough.
Head will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Head shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Oh has taken the fight to the clinch.
Head tries for a takedown but Oh manages to get underhooks.

Oh stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Oh scores a nice knee to the body.
Head is trying to pull guard but Oh has him pressed against the cage.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Oh. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

The fight stays on the outside here - Oh looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Oh looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Head is fending him off so far but Oh persists. Nope, Head circles away and we're back to standing.

and Head counters with a single leg into guard. Oh didn't expect that.

Head trying to control the position from guard on top but Oh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Head drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Oh manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Head has Oh in his guard.

Oh in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Oh distracts Head with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Head controlling the position.
Oh throws a strike but Head rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Head wants to control from the top but Oh keeps moving.
Oh trying to strike off his back.
Head not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dil Head wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Oh tries to clinch up but Head circles away and keeps his distance.

Oh drives through and clinches with Head against the cage.
Oh lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Head.

Oh gets control of Head's arms and successfully pulls guard. Oh will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Oh will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Head controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Head stands and steps away. Oh gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Big Oh.

Oh is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Head's half guard.
Oh with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Head is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Oh perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Oh wants to free his trapped foot but Head is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Big Oh comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Oh has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
