The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liger tries a low kick but Kolano avoids it.
Liger cracks Kolano with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
A slapping leg kick lands for Liger.
Liger closes the distance and clinches.
A nice right hand lands inside from Liger.
Liger throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Kolano goes for a takedown attempt but Liger pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Liger counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kolano's knee momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kolano takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
