Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Dervius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenji Kang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dervius fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kang manages to avoid it.
Kang misses the shot to the body.
Kang tries to clinch but Dervius is having none of it.
Kang misses with a takedown attempt
and Dervius counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kang gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Dervius connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kang should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Kang avoids the head kick by Dervius.
Kang uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dervius.
Dervius ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Dervius catches Kang with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Kang gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Dervius gets to his feet - Kang follows without any prompting.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kang shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jack Dervius has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kenji Kang.
Kang takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Dervius throws a head kick that misses.
Kang is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kang bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Kenji Kang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kang gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Dervius counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kang's guard now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dervius tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dervius has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Kang tries to bench press Dervius off him but Dervius keeps the position.

Dervius is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kang is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Kang is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Dervius's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Dervius! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Kang has tapped! This one is allllll over!
