Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, David Haye!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jimmy Kay!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kay has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Haye finds it's way round the side to connect with Kay's head.
Kay on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Kay slips a jab and a cross from Haye.
Kay takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Kay fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Haye sprawls well initially but Kay persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Kay is looking for a kimura but Haye is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kay to get the leverage.
Haye is trying to get back to full guard.
Kay sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Haye defending well though.
Kay looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Haye is trying to maintain the position but Kay is very close to passing his half guard.
Kay landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Haye works his way to full guard. Good work.
Kay is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Haye not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kay trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Haye working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kay doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kay manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Kay trying to control but Haye is working from the bottom.
Haye is adopting a defensive guard.
Kay won't allow Haye to sweep him here.
Kay keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Haye's head.
Haye keeping moving, preventing Kay from controlling successfully.

Kay postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Haye is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kay, into his guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kay can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kay trying to control the position here.
Haye connects with a couple of short punches.
Kay is controlling Haye's posture.
Haye stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kay swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Haye won't allow Kay to sweep him here.
Kay is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kay is trying to control the position but Haye postures up.
Kay wants to sweep but no luck.
Kay really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Haye. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kay is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Jimmy Kay has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Haye cracks Kay with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Kay on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Haye lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Kay takes one on the button.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Haye drops Kay with a naaaaasty hook - Kay is in real trouble here! Haye dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Haye!
