The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body punch from Quirke.
Quirke uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Weathers has time to react.
Quirke lands a head shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Quirke darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Quirke keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Quirke fails to land with a series of punches.

Quirke fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Quirke throws a hook but Weathers avoids it easily.
Quirke looks to land a right hand but Weathers moved out of range.
Weathers shoots in for a takedown but Quirke shows good takedown defense.
Quirke cracks Weathers with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Quirke has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Weathers to stand back up!
Weathers is rocked!
Marcus Quirke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Weathers is breathing heavily.
Weathers walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Quirke swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
