Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

15 - 12 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Eric Mccaughan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

12 - 10 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Carlos Ruiz!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Fedor Mirinova and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mccaughan thuds his right hand into Ruiz's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Ruiz lands with a good body shot.
Ruiz throws a poor cross that misses
and Mccaughan counters with a stiff right hand.
Ruiz shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mccaughan throws out a leg kick but Ruiz moves out of range and Mccaughan only half commits.
Mccaughan lands a nice shot that snaps Ruiz's head back.
Ruiz takes one to the side of the head.
Ruiz clinches with his opponent.
Mccaughan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ruiz throws out a loose jab but Mccaughan uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ruiz throws a shot from downtown. Mccaughan moves away and avoids it.
Ruiz takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Mccaughan fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ruiz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Ruiz is chipping away with strikes.
Ruiz lands a few punches from side control.
Ruiz has an Americana. Mccaughan didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Ruiz is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Ruiz hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Carlos Ruiz!
