PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Kraschinsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kitsune Tsuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Kraschinsky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kitsune Tsuki!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tsuki closes the distance and clinches up with Kraschinsky, looking for a takedown. Tsuki pushes Kraschinsky against the cage but Kraschinsky circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Tsuki shoots in for a takedown but Kraschinsky shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kraschinsky shoots for a double leg takedown but Tsuki sprawls well. He's pushed Kraschinsky's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Tsuki closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tsuki lands in his opponent's guard.

Tsuki is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Tsuki is looking to work some ground and pound but Kraschinsky has wrist control.

Tsuki throws an elbow that misses. Kraschinsky uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tsuki's guard. Nice move by Kraschinsky!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kraschinsky drops back looking for a leg! Tsuki is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tsuki manages to kick Kraschinsky off! Kraschinsky jumps back into Tsuki's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Kraschinsky tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tsuki swivels and escapes.
No joy there for Kraschinsky, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Tsuki is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kraschinsky is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kraschinsky has escaped and now he's on top!

Kraschinsky drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kraschinsky jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Kraschinsky jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Tsuki manages to avoid the submission attempt.

This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kraschinsky goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Tsuki has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Kraschinsky but great work by Tsuki.

Kitsune Tsuki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Tsuki is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kraschinsky sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tsuki had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kraschinsky defends it easily.
Kitsune Tsuki is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Kraschinsky postures up in Tsuki's guard and throws a big left but Tsuki blocks it.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ivan Kraschinsky.
I think Tsuki has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
