Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eldar Arbuhmedov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ulf Minutsak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Eldar Arbuhmedov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 15 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ulf Minutsak!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksandr Martynov and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minutsak lands a nice hook to Arbuhmedov's body. Arbuhmedov takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Minutsak takes a swing at Arbuhmedov's ribcage but misses.
Minutsak tries a head kick but it misses.
Minutsak uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Arbuhmedov.
Arbuhmedov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Minutsak pinned against the cage. Minutsak gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Eldar Arbuhmedov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Arbuhmedov misses with a combination
and Minutsak counters with a nice uppercut.

and Minutsak holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Minutsak breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Arbuhmedov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Minutsak counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Minutsak breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Arbuhmedov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Minutsak as he avoids it easily.

Minutsak lands a big head kick that sends Arbuhmedov tumbling to the mat! Minutsak takes a step backwards and waves Arbuhmedov back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Arbuhmedov shoots in for a double leg but Minutsak sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Minutsak wants to lay and pray for a moment but Arbuhmedov keeps working.
Minutsak slips a nice elbow through Arbuhmedov's hands, connecting with Arbuhmedov's forehead.

Minutsak takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Minutsak is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Arbuhmedov sees it coming and defends easily.

Arbuhmedov makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Arbuhmedov.

Arbuhmedov had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Minutsak defends it easily.
Minutsak is in close to Arbuhmedov's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Minutsak got a little sloppy there for a moment and Arbuhmedov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Minutsak has managed to get both his arms back between Arbuhmedov's legs - danger averted.
Minutsak lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Minutsak must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Arbuhmedov closes the distance and clinches up with Minutsak, looking for a takedown. Arbuhmedov pushes Minutsak against the cage but Minutsak circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Minutsak escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Minutsak misses with a kick to the body.
Arbuhmedov doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Minutsak counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Nice straight punches there by Minutsak. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Minutsak.

Minutsak feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Arbuhmedov sprawling to the canvas! Arbuhmedov rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Minutsak finish him?!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Minutsak moves into the clinch.
Minutsak has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Arbuhmedov is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Minutsak gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Minutsak escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Minutsak connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Arbuhmedov momentarily.

Minutsak shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Minutsak looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Arbuhmedov covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
