Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Tank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lay Pray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tank comes to the cage accompanied by Destiny. Pray has chosen Don't Fear the Reaper- Blue Oyster Cult as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Tank!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lay Pray!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Left hook, right uppercut from Tank.
Tank stuffs the takedown.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pray.

Tank gets caught flat footed, as Pray shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

It looks like Pray might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Lay Pray wasn't active enough on the ground.
Pray shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tank as he jumps to the side.
Pray changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tank tries to avoid it but Pray manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tank to the ground. Tank escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Pray fails with a takedown attempt.
Pray shoots in and drives through. Tank sprawls well.
Pray shoots for a takedown but Tank saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Pray misses with a shot to the body
and Tank counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Tank connects with a body shot that sends Pray's belly button to the back.
Pray shoots in and drives through. Tank sprawls well.
Tank leaves Pray with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Tank.

Lay Pray seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pray gets tackled into the cage by Tank. Tank maintains the clinch.

Tank's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Tank counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Tank connects with an inside leg kick.
Tank goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Pray shoots for a takedown but Tank saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Tank tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pray paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Tank with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Pray closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tank circles away.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Pray takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Tank dips to his left and cracks Pray with an uppercut!
Pray has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Tank.
Nice cross by Tank.
Pray has his takedown stuffed
and Tank counters with a straight right hand.

Tank moves into the clinch.
Pray prevents a body shot from Tank.
Pray blocks a body shot from Tank.
Pray is trying to drag Tank to the mat but Tank just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Tank.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Tank tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Pray's elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Tank dominated that round.
That's time! Tank's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Pray shoots in looking for a takedown. Tank tries to sprawl out of it but Pray keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tank manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pray is breathing heavily.
Tank is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Pray wants to stand but Tank is controlling his posture from full guard.

Pray wants to control from the top but Tank keeps moving.
Pray pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tank is keeping the position for now.

Lay Pray has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Pray just misses with a punch to the body.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Pray shoots in but Tank avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Tank gets caught napping as Pray dives in and scores a takedown. Tank manages to retain guard.
Tank keeping moving, preventing Pray from controlling successfully.
Pray controlling from the top position.
Pray postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Pray trying to control the position from guard on top but Tank is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Lay Pray.

and Tank counters with a body kick that stops Pray in his tracks momentarily.

Tank stuffs the takedown attempt from Pray. Pray gets slowly back to his feet.
Tank sizes up Pray with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Tank clinches up with Pray and pushes him back against the cage.

Tank pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Pray tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tank swivels and escapes.
Tank feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Pray's calf.

Tank clinches up with Pray and pushes him back against the cage.
Tank lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Pray.
Tank works on Pray's body with a couple of short punches.

Tank escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Pray throws a leg kick
and Tank counters with a good, hard body kick but Pray shrugs it off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Tank shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Pray eats them both and turns towards Tank to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

and Tank counters with a nice low kick that buckles Pray's knee momentarily.

Tank lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Tank digs a right hand into Pray's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Pray's gas tank.
Tank presses Pray against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pray's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tank, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
