Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Troy Melton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nao Sakumichi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Troy Melton has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakumichi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Melton defends it nicely.

Troy Melton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nao Sakumichi.
Melton paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

It looks like Nao Sakumichi has been cut.
No joy there for Melton, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sakumichi postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Melton badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Sakumichi around the waist but Sakumichi pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Sakumichi is the winner by TKO! Sakumichi jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
