Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Robert Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jayden Fuego (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Smith might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Blink 182 feat Robert Smith - All of This. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Edson Gomes and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Smith closes the distance and clinches up with Fuego, looking for a takedown. Smith pushes Fuego against the cage but Fuego circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Smith.
Fuego is trying to get back to half guard.
Smith tries to score with some ground and pound. Fuego controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Smith stands up over Fuego, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Smith accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's time! Smith's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Smith is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Fuego gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Smith bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fuego's guard.
Smith passes into half guard.
Smith stands up and beckons Fuego to join him on the feet.
Fuego throws a push kick but Smith slaps the foot to one side.
Smith takes the fight into the clinch.
Fuego changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Smith fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Fuego shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Fuego showed some decent athleticism there.
Fuego is breathing heavily.
Smith gets back to full guard.

Fuego scoring with punches to the head and body.
Smith is looking for a triangle but Fuego pushes his legs off easily.
Fuego is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Fuego won't allow Smith to sweep him here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smith is looking for a triangle here but Fuego uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Fuego decides to stand back up. Fuego steps back and let's Smith get back to his feet.
Smith shoots in and drives through. Fuego sprawls well.
Fuego tries to clinch up
and Smith holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Fuego breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Fuego doesn't manage to clinch there - Smith circles away.
Fuego misses with a jab, cross combination.
Fuego throws a nice inside leg kick.
Fuego instigates a clinch.
Fuego escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Smith gets caught flat footed, as Fuego shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Smith had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Fuego is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Smith Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Fuego's back instead.
Smith has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Fuego has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Fuego rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Smith is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Fuego with the active half guard here but Smith passes nicely into side control.
Smith is working to tighten is grip on Fuego's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Fuego has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Smith is really squeezing tight and eventually Fuego passes out! Smith breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
