Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dennis Hopper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jose Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hopper swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
The fight stays on the outside here - Diaz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Diaz moves in looking to clinch but Hopper pushes him off.
Diaz tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hopper swats him away and circles back towards the center.

enabling Hopper to counter with a crisp jab.
Hopper lands a nice shot that snaps Diaz's head back.
Diaz throws a series of punches but Hopper moves out of range.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Hopper, as that shot connected.
Diaz uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hopper.
Diaz tries to clinch up but Hopper circles away and keeps his distance.

and Hopper counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

The fight stays on the outside here - Diaz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Diaz closes the distance and pushes Hopper back into the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hopper is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Diaz can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Jose Diaz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Hopper has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Diaz is trying to stand.
