Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Cramzz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and kev smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cramzz comes to the ring accompanied by Punkb*tch - 3oh3!. smith is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: summertime. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cramzz scores with a takedown into smith's guard.
Cramzz won't allow smith to sweep him here.
smith is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cramzz is controlling him.

Cramzz drops back, looking for a kneebar! smith looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. smith looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from smith!

Cramzz is looking for a sweep. smith is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

smith is trying to work for a kimura but Cramzz is defending well.
Cramzz tries to get to full guard but smith has control of the leg.
smith is pressing down on Cramzz's thigh, looking to free his foot. Cramzz is holding on for now.
Cramzz wants to control the action here but instead smith manages to pass to full mount!
smith lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Cramzz avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
smith can't keep his opponent in guard - Cramzz advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Cramzz is keen to just control but smith is a slippery customer.
Cramzz is looking to stall here but smith recovers full guard.
Cramzz tries to free his leg and advance position but smith is retaining full guard.
Cramzz seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Cramzz lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as smith backs up against the ropes.

It looks like kev smith has been cut.

Cramzz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

You can see the frustration on smith's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
smith is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
smith wants to get back to his feet.
smith flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Cramzz wants to pass the guard but smith is keeping the position.

smith is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

smith had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Cramzz is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. smith Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Cramzz's back instead.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

smith gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Cramzz is looking to take a break and control but smith is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
smith is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cramzz's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cramzz's back!

smith has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Cramzz.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

smith is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Cramzz has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but smith has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Cramzz taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. smith doesn't care though - he's delighted!
