Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eaton Cox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Josh Hogan enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eaton Cox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josh Hogan!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Steve Montenegro and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cox looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Cox closes the distance and clinches up with Hogan, looking for a takedown. Cox pushes Hogan against the cage but Hogan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Cox is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Cox's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Cox duly obliges.
Cox shoots in and drives through. Hogan sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eaton Cox. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cox shoots in looking for a takedown. Hogan tries to sprawl out of it but Cox keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hogan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A jab from Cox does it's job there.
Hogan throws a wild body kick that Cox sees coming a mile off.
Hogan shoots in for a takedown but Cox shows good takedown defense.
Cox will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Hogan rushes Cox and presses him up against the cage.
Cox tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hogan smiles and moves away.

Cox drives through and clinches with Hogan against the cage.

Hogan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Cox closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Cox misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Hogan tries to bench press Cox off him but Cox keeps the position.
Hogan sneaks back into half guard.
Hogan is not content to let Cox control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hogan gets back to full guard.

Hogan working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Cox has passed into half guard!

Cox not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hogan is not content to let Cox control the position.

Cox moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Hogan.
Hogan struggling a bit here.

Cox stands up and beckons Hogan to his feet.
Cox throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Hogan throws a low kick, looking for Cox's leg but Cox calmly moves out of range.
Cox tries for a takedown but Hogan circles away easily

and Hogan counters with a shoot takedown. Cox fights it but they end up in guard.
Hogan sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Cox's guard.
Hogan looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Hogan seems to be looking for submissions.
Cox wants to get back to full guard.
Cox is breathing heavily.

Cox is defending against the submission attempts here by Hogan.
Cox is trying to control but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Eaton Cox will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Hogan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cox swivels and escapes.
Cox keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Cox shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hogan's guard.
Hogan looking for a sweep. Not yet Hogan, not yet.
Hogan lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cox!
Cox is looking to get to half guard.
Cox wants to hold on but Hogan pushes him away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cox keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Hogan is working for a guillotine from mount but Cox frees his head quite easily.

Hogan is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Cox has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Cox tries to lock up and control but Hogan gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hogan trying to control but Cox is having none of it.
Cox is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Hogan looking to control and managing it successfully.

Hogan has control of Cox's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Cox regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hogan takes Cox's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Cox is in trouble.
Cox looking very determined here, making life difficult for Hogan.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Cox tries to escape the position.

Hogan is breathing heavily.

Cox is trying to defend against the choke here but Hogan has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Hogan Tightens the hold and Cox taps out furiously! Hogan displays superior BJJ to win the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Josh Hogan!
