Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chaka Mababa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amzi Azzan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mababa kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Street Fighting Man. Chaka Mababa could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Amzi Azzan's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Amzi Azzan!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Fedor Mirinova and Konstantin Menshow.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Azzan closes the distance and clinches.
Mababa working hard to break the clinch.
Azzan keeps control of Mababa as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Mababa connects with a nasty looking knee right to Azzan's face.

It looks like Amzi Azzan has been cut.
Azzan tries to throw a body punch but Mababa avoids it by throwing Azzan back against the cage.
Mababa tries a knee to the head but Azzan blocks it.
Azzan lands a shoulder strike.
Mababa is trying to push Azzan away but Azzan has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Azzan manages to break the clinch.

Azzan clinches up with Mababa and pushes him back against the cage.

Azzan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Some bone on bone action there as Azzan checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Azzan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Mababa keeping moving, preventing Azzan from controlling successfully.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Azzan is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Azzan prevents Mababa from getting back to his feet.

Mababa wants to control but Azzan postures up.
Mababa wants to get back to his feet.
Azzan cracks Mababa with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Azzan is staying tight to Mababa's torso, preventing him from escaping.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mababa takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Mababa is rocked!
Azzan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mababa keeps working.
Oh Mababa is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mababa is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Azzan has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big shot lands for Azzan! That's hurt Mababa! Will he recover? Azzan fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
