Rude fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Severn is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Rude.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Severn dives in and grabs Rude's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rude pushes down on Severn's head and hops out.
Rude defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Severn.
Rick Rude seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rude fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rude lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Rude lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Nice takedown defense from Rude. No joy for Severn on that attempt.
Rick Rude has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Severn.

Rude lands a left and a right that send Severn crashing to the mat, dazed. Rude thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Rude closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Severn out cold! Severn corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
