The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aleksei slips a jab and a cross from Tikkanen.
Aleksei scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Aleksei fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tikkanen, pushing him back against the cage.

Aleksei throws a nice looking combination but Tikkanen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Aleksei feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Aleksei wants to stand and escape but instead Tikkanen has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tikkanen gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Tikkanen lands with a right and another and another! Aleksei is in big trouble! Tikkanen lands again and this time it's lights out for Aleksei! A quality knockout there for Tikkanen.
