PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fiyero Lermontov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lermontov's entrance music is Mr Suicidal. A fine choice. Moore is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Funeral Thirst. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lermontov's jab looks to have found its range, popping Moore under the eye.
Moore closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lermontov circles away.

Moore manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lermontov on his heels. He'll look to pass Lermontov's guard now, I'm sure.

Moore throws and elbow that misses. Lermontov uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Moore's guard. Nice move by Lermontov!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Lermontov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Moore's guard.

Lermontov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Moore swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lermontov is pushing down on Moore's leg trying to pass to half guard. Moore is fighting to maintain full guard but Lermontov has managed to sneak the leg through.

Moore scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Lermontov manages to mount him!

Lermontov tries to control but Moore wriggling away.

Moore wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Lermontov.
Lermontov cracks Moore with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Moore is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fiyero Lermontov dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Moore tries to clinch there but Lermontov circles away.

Lermontov decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
