Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kily Gonzales!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, WiLL Frankstein!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Daniel Cesar and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzales scores with a takedown into Frankstein's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Gonzales is stalling in the full guard.
Gonzales trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kily Gonzales.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Gonzales checks a leg kick.
Gonzales moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Frankstein throws a leg kick but Gonzales sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Gonzales closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Frankstein did well to prevent Gonzales getting side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gonzales takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Frankstein wants to get back to his feet.
Frankstein looks gassed!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Still in half guard, Gonzales seems content to control.
Kily Gonzales has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Gonzales pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Frankstein does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Gonzales throws a nice head kick!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gonzales shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Gonzales passes Frankstein's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gonzales content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kily Gonzales wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Frankstein gets caught flat footed, as Gonzales shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Frankstein can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gonzales controls the pace.
Gonzales in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Kily Gonzales just wasn't active enough.
Frankstein gets caught flat footed, as Gonzales shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Gonzales advances position into side control!

Gonzales is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Frankstein looks calm but he's in trouble here. Gonzales gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Frankstein is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Gonzales lets go of the hold and Frankstein can pop his arm back in it's socket.
