Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tiberio Gioane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yster Best!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Best changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gioane tries to avoid it but Best manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gioane to the ground. Gioane escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Best fails with a takedown attempt.
Gioane shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Best's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Best working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gioane doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gioane manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Gioane trying to control but Best is working from the bottom.
Gioane is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Best has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Gioane is looking to defend but Best has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Gioane! Best pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Gioane taps out and this one is all over!
