Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kristof Nikitin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Desmond Morris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nikitin might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Arch Enemy - My Apocalypse. Morris has chosen Heartbeats as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morris fails to land with a series of punches.
Nikitin ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Nikitin gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Nikitin jumps guard and drags Morris to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Morris got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nikitin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Morris has managed to get both his arms back between Nikitin's legs - danger averted.
Morris postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Nikitin has an active guard here but Morris has managed to pass into half guard.

Nikitin has his foot on Morris's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Morris works his way back into a safe position though.

Nikitin lands a big shot there that rocks Morris but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Morris throws a leg kick but Nikitin checks it.
Morris throws out a loose jab but Nikitin uses good head movement to avoid it.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Morris is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Nikitin wants to control from the top but Morris keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kristof Nikitin will probably get the nod.
