Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Turk Pistol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Ernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ernandez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pistol.

Ernandez closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Ernandez drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ernandez with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Pistol is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Ernandez keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Pistol's efforts to push away.
Pistol looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Ernandez tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pistol smiles and moves away.

Ernandez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pistol lands a jab.

Ernandez takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Pistol forces Ernandez back against the cage and clinches.

That was a close round but I would say that Turk Pistol will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Ernandez's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Pistol connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ernandez scrambles back to his feet.

Pistol lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Pistol lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ernandez circles away quickly and effectively.

Pistol scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Ernandez doesn't seem bothered though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and Ernandez counters with a shoot takedown. Pistol fights it but they end up in guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ernandez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Ernandez decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Nice takedown defense from Pistol. No joy for Ernandez on that attempt.
Turk Pistol has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cain Ernandez.
Pistol is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ernandez.
Pistol avoids the head kick by Ernandez.
Ernandez scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Ernandez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Pistol walks away with a smile on his face. Ernandez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Ernandez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Pistol is looking to clinch but Ernandez is avoiding it.
Pistol swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pistol doesn't manage to clinch there - Ernandez circles away.
Ernandez fails with an attempt to clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ernandez fails with the takedown.
A looping hook to the body misses from Pistol. Ernandez does a little dance to reset his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Cain Ernandez will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Ernandez shoots in looking for a takedown but Pistol manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ernandez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Pistol punishes Ernandez's body with a nice straight punch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Pistol jabs Ernandez to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Pistol lands with a nice body punch.
Ernandez takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Pistol misses with a wild combination.
Pistol stalks Ernandez and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ernandez's face. Ernandez staggers backwards, shaken.

Pistol lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Ernandez backs up against the cage.
Pistol scores with a one two! Ernandez had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ernandez is defended easily by Pistol.
Cain Ernandez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pistol looks to land a combination. Ernandez sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Ernandez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pistol but Pistol pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Pistol is looking to wear down Ernandez with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Ernandez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pistol avoids it really well and circles away.
Pistol swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Ernandez.

Pistol takes a swing at Ernandez's ribcage but misses.
Pistol closes the distance looking to clinch

and Ernandez decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Pistol's guard.
Pistol has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Ernandez has passed into side control.
Pistol tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pistol tries to control Ernandez's body but Ernandez pushes him off. Pistol squirms to his side and now Ernandez has his back!

Turk Pistol showed his dominance in that final round.
