The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norte fails with the takedown.
Filmollic misses with a looping right.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Norte shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Norte tries to close the distance and clinch up but Filmollic swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Filmollic shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Filmollic showed some decent athleticism there.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Norte doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Filmollic counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Filmollic stalling.
Filmollic seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Norte for as long as he can get away with.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Norte is looking for a sweep. Filmollic is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Filmollic wants to pass the guard but Norte is defending well.

Filmollic is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Norte knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Norte for a finish.

Norte is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Filmollic has latched onto it... Big trouble! Filmollic pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Norte is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Filmollic!
