Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. King manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Smith slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
King has a closed guard, preventing Smith from standing up.
Smith tries to free his leg and advance position but King is retaining full guard.
King is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
King wants to hit a switch here but Smith passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for King there!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smith will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
King can't escape the position.
Smith controlling from mount.
King is trying to escape the mount.
Smith knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for King on the ground.

King tries to hold on but Smith postures up.
Smith takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Smith cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

King is desperately trying to improve his position but Smith has a good base and remains in mount.
King tries to hold on but Smith pushes him away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
King keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

King regains half guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Dante Smith wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Smith connects with a right hand. King shakes it off.
Smith changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
King looks gassed!
King doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Smith counters with a series of strikes. King will be more careful next time no doubt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Smith drops King with a straight right hand, right on the button! Smith follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
