PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fredy Cruger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Version Two (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cruger comes into the arena with pain killer blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fredy Cruger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Version Two!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Radbod Blank and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Two keeps Cruger at a distance using the push kick.
Cruger doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Two cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.


It looks like Fredy Cruger has been cut.
Cruger has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Two finds it's way round the side to connect with Cruger's head.
Cruger closes the distance and clinches up with Two, looking for a takedown. Cruger pushes Two against the cage but Two circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Cruger wants to clinch
and Two counters with a left to the body.
Cruger has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fredy Cruger. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cruger connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Two lands a jab to the nose.
Cruger takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Two moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Cruger gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Fredy Cruger's cut is getting worse.
Two lands a jab.
Two is looking to chop away at Cruger's legs.
Two stuffs the takedown attempt from Cruger. Cruger gets slowly back to his feet.
Cruger takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Cruger gets cracked there but stands up to it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Two pushes Cruger back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Two.
Two lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Cruger.
Cruger tries for a takedown but Two manages to get underhooks.

Two lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Cruger or not.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Cruger. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Two lands a left hand that snaps the head of Cruger backwards.

Cruger has Two pressed against the cage, preventing Two from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Two lands a shoulder strike.
Two scores with a shot to the side of Cruger's head.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Two lands a left hand.
Two wants to break the clinch but can't.
Two lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Cruger backwards.
Cruger tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Cruger takes a shot to the head.
Two wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Two lands a shoulder strike.
Cruger is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Two gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Cruger jumps guard but Two stands there with Cruger around his waist. Cruger gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Two is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Two has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Fredy Cruger's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Two lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Two dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Two catches Cruger with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Cruger takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Two connects with a good right hand that stumbles Cruger. Cruger circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Jeez, Fredy Cruger's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Version Two is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Two lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Cruger takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Version Two seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Cruger takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Cruger ducks right into an uppercut from Two.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Fredy Cruger's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
