Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcos Villapudua!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cale Sanders Son!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Alyssa Summers and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Sanders Son crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Villapudua - the referee stops the clock and Sanders Son gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Villapudua. Sanders Son manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Villapudua misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Sanders Son stuffs the takedown.
Sanders Son looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Villapudua is looking to improve his position.
Sanders Son trying to control the action but Villapudua is working from the bottom.
Villapudua trying to control but Sanders Son postures up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sanders Son trying to mount his opponent but Villapudua defends it.
Sanders Son is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Sanders Son is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Sanders Son blocks the strikes from Villapudua.

Villapudua moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Villapudua wants to sweep but no luck.

Sanders Son has gone for a leg lock! Villapudua slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sanders Son's guard.
Sanders Son keeping moving, preventing Villapudua from controlling successfully.

Villapudua trying to control but Sanders Son is working from the bottom.
Villapudua stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sanders Son swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Marcos Villapudua wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Villapudua turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Villapudua moves into range and clinches up with Sanders Son.
Sanders Son prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcos Villapudua. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Villapudua manages to break the clinch.
Villapudua fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
No joy there for Villapudua, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Villapudua moves into the clinch.
Sanders Son tries to stall but Villapudua uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Villapudua escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Villapudua dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Sanders Son. That did some damage!
Villapudua pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Villapudua feints and then cracks Sanders Son's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sanders Son down.
Villapudua clinches.
Villapudua manages to break the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Villapudua connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Villapudua ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
A solid body kick from Villapudua.
Sanders Son closes the distance and clinches up with Villapudua, looking for a takedown. Sanders Son pushes Villapudua against the cage but Villapudua circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Sanders Son looks gassed!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Villapudua throws a head kick that Sanders Son semi-blocks.
Villapudua throws a nice inside leg kick.
Villapudua bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Villapudua slaps away a takedown attempt from Sanders Son, before circling back to the center of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcos Villapudua dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Villapudua lands with a nice combination. Sanders Son backs away looking to recover.
Nice takedown defense from Villapudua. No joy for Sanders Son on that attempt.
Whack! Villapudua lands a heavy head kick that drops Sanders Son. The ref tackles Villapudua to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Sanders Son was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Marcos Villapudua!
