The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gaffney drives through with a takedown into Bernardi's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Gaffney looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bernardi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gaffney connects with a nice short shot to Bernardi's temple.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gaffney lands a big elbow - Bernardi is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Gaffney!
