The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mikakochishimo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Yamaru sprawls well initially but Mikakochishimo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Yamaru is looking to improve his position.
Yamaru is pressing down on Mikakochishimo's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Yamaru looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mikakochishimo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Mikakochishimo is looking to stand up but Yamaru won't let him.
Yamaru looking for a triangle here. Mikakochishimo is fighting it but it looks tight! Yamaru pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Mikakochishimo is tapping out - this one is all over!
