Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ahmed Ali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Terry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chris Terry will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, John Roberts and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Terry fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ali manages to avoid it.
Ali looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A shot to de liver by Terry. Beautiful body shot.
Terry throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Ali shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Terry but Terry pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Ali moves into the clinch.
Ali tries a body shot but Terry blocks it.
Ali has had enough of the clinch but Terry keeps him there for the moment.

Ali pulls Terry into guard.
Ali wants to sweep but no luck.

Ali pushes Terry off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
No joy there for Ali, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Terry misses with a takedown attempt

and Ali counters with a shoot takedown. Terry fights it but they end up in guard.

Ali stands up over Terry, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Ali stands up from Terry's guard - Ali perhaps looking for a knockout.
Ali tries for a takedown but Terry circles away easily
and Terry makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Terry gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Ali counters with a takedown into side control.
Ahmed Ali has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Terry.
I wouldn't like to be where Terry is right now.

Ali decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Terry looks gassed!
Ali throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Terry's waist but Terry gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ali off to one side.
Ali clinches but Terry breaks the clinch

and Terry counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ali is looking to improve his position.

Ali is looking to control Terry's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ali avoid being mounted?
Terry not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Ali wants to improve his position but Terry is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Terry perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Ali is looking for a sweep. Terry is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Ali is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Terry frees his head nicely. Oh but Ali has switched to an armbar! Terry is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
