Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Leroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marvin Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marvin Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Alyssa Summers and Chad Campbell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leroy closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jackson circles away.
Jackson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Leroy counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Leroy not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Leroy prevents Jackson from improving his position.
Jackson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Leroy's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Leroy's back!

Leroy manages to stand up with Jackson still on his back. Eventually Jackson drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position.
Jackson tries to bum rush Leroy with a series of wild strikes but Leroy uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Jackson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Leroy's guard.

Leroy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jackson connects with a couple of short punches.
Leroy lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jackson!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Leroy goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Jackson is on top in guard.

and Jackson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Leroy on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Leroy tries to get out of the position.

Leroy looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Leroy is looking for a triangle here but Jackson uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Leroy manages to work his way to half guard, despite Jackson's best efforts.
Leroy moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Leroy is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Leroy passes the guard and advances to mount!

Leroy fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

It looks like Marvin Jackson has been cut.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Leroy connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
