These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ladeia shoots in but Silva avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Ladeia looks for the body kick but Silva saw that one coming.

It looks like Jose Ladeia has been cut.

Ladeia tries to free his leg and advance position but Silva is retaining full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ladeia is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Silva doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ladeia.

Ladeia has hold of Silva's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Silva seems comfortable defending it but Ladeia has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Silva is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Silva is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Ladeia couldn't care less - he's delighted!
