The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chak tries to bum rush Hero with a series of wild strikes but Hero uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Chak Chak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

No joy there for Chak, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Hero will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Chak throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hero.

Hero closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Chak to the mat! Chak manages to get full guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Hero stands up over Chak, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hero's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

It looks like Chak Chak has been cut.
Chak knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hero on the ground.
Hero postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Hero distracts Chak with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Hero has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A big shot lands for Hero! That's hurt Chak! Will he recover? Hero fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
