Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Michael Kalos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Stephens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kalos might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Cracks (Flux Pavillion). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalos throws the kick towards the body but Stephens avoids it.
Kalos misses with a wild combination.

Stephens moves into the clinch.

Stephens jumps guard and drags Kalos to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Kalos pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stephens is keeping the position for now.

Stephens wriggles free and stands up.
Stephens displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kalos.

Kalos sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Stephens's guard.

Stephens shoots in and bounces Kalos off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kalos is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Stephens's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Stephens's back!

Kalos is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Stephens has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Michael Kalos will probably get the nod.

Kalos has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Stephens should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Kalos has tightened it up now! Stephens should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
