PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Remy Bonjaski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by Hustlin. Bonjaski has chosen Ring of Fire as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Remy Bonjaski!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Patrick Alders and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bonjaski gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Jackson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bonjaski pulls his leg out and moves away.
Bonjaski tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jackson swivels and escapes.
Bonjaski blocks the body kick.

Jackson drives through and clinches with Bonjaski against the cage.
Jackson tries to land knees in the clinch but Bonjaski avoids the damage to the body.
Jackson swings wildly with an uppercut but Bonjaski uses good head movement to avoid it.

Bonjaski jumps guard and drags Jackson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jackson won't let Bonjaski get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Bonjaski gets caught napping as Jackson dives in and scores a takedown. Bonjaski manages to retain guard.

Jackson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Bonjaski has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jackson is working away from the top position though.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

We're going to have a standup here because Shawn Jackson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Bonjaski has gone for a leg lock! Jackson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bonjaski's guard.
