The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from McIntosh finds it's way through Owens's defenses.

McIntosh shoots in and bounces Owens off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

and Owens counters with a nice double leg into side control. McIntosh won't be happy with that.

Owens is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. McIntosh knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Owens wants to get up but he can't break McIntosh's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
