PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buster Posey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Tomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Posey gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Tomas makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Posey closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Tomas's guard.
Tomas manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Posey manages to get himself to full guard.
Posey wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Posey swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Tomas is now in Posey's guard. A big mistake from Posey there, giving up the dominant position!

Posey drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Tomas manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Posey has Tomas in his guard.
