The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Mezger misses the target.
Winchester wants to clinch but Mezger slips to the side

and Mezger counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Mezger slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Mezger tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Mezger's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Mezger cracks Winchester with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Mezger takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
