Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Summers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Summers comes to the cage accompanied by Meatloaf: In The Land Of The Pigs. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dylan Summers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Phil Stevenson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevenson misses with a series of wild punches.
Horrible takedown by Stevenson or perhaps it was just good defense by Summers which made him look bad.
Stevenson fails in his attempt to clinch.
Stevenson throws a right and a left that Summers avoids nicely.
Summers misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Stevenson.
Phil Stevenson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Summers tries to keep at a distance but Stevenson has taken the fight into the clinch.

Stevenson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Stevenson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Stevenson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Summers slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Summers tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Summers misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Summers looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Stevenson is avoiding damage well.
Stevenson is working to avoid the ground and pound but Summers connects with a decent elbow.
Stevenson is trying to improve his position.
Summers works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Stevenson struggling a bit here.
Summers sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Stevenson is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Stevenson parries the strikes from Summers easily there. Summers is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Stevenson to escape.

Summers is working hard here to advance position.

Stevenson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Summers slips a nice elbow through Stevenson's hands, connecting with Stevenson's forehead.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Stevenson tries to get to full guard but Summers has control of the leg.
Summers not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Summers lands strikes from half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stevenson avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Summers.
Summers sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Stevenson defending well though.
Summers trying to pass the guard but Stevenson defending well.
Summers not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Summers thows a huge punch but Stevenson dodges it nicely.

Summers passes to side control.
Summers is chipping away with strikes.
Stevenson wants to control but Summers postures up.
An elbow from Summers crashes against the mat.
Summers lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Stevenson down.
Stevenson is not content to let Summers control the position.
Stevenson prevents Summers from moving into mount.
Summers throwing strikes but missing, from side control.

Summers tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Summers has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Stevenson is looking for a sweep.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Summers cracks Stevenson with a big right hand but Stevenson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Summers scores with a couple of short elbows.
Summers landing strikes.


Stevenson is rocked!
Stevenson is trying to improve his position.
Stevenson is still in real trouble! Can Summers finish him?

Summers working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Stevenson tries to buck Summers off but Summers is having none of it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Stevenson seems to have recovered his senses.
You can see the frustration on Stevenson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Summers controls the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Summers feints and as Stevenson raises his hands in defense, Summers changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Summers distracts Stevenson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Stevenson has his hands on Summers's head, controlling the position.
Summers works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Stevenson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Stevenson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Summers is working away from the top position though.
Stevenson is looking to improve his position.
Summers lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Summers uses his free foot to push down on Stevenson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Stevenson.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Summers lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Summers throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Summers takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Stevenson is looking to improve his position but Summers isn't that keen on the idea.
Stevenson is bucking up trying to escape but Summers cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Summers trying to control but Stevenson is having none of it.

Summers putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

A big strike lands for Summers! That's really hurt Stevenson and he's turned his back - Summers keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Summers jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dylan Summers!
Dylan Summers decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
